The Bible & Assurance Of Salvation

For those who live a life full of materialism and sensual pleasures of life and thay yearn for somthing to fill their lives with the deepest feelings in their hearts and the need for fullfilment. I want to show nothing can compare with all that is ours in Christ when we find salvation. Forgiveness. Justification. Adoption. Eternal life. This is so wanderful when we are shown these things in the Bible how the glory of salvation is promised when we enter into the presence of our Lord. We have a home in heaven reserved for us and awards that await us.Unfortunately, many people today have distorted the meaning of salvation, saying that it means only political, social and economic liberation in this life. And even with the JW's thay believe they CANNOT know if they have salvation during this life. However, they believe that after the 1,000 year reign of Christ, they will be told if they will receive eternal life. (See: the Watchtower Society publication, Life Everlasting, p.398). But we should be concerned about injustice and do what we can to promote a more just world. But lasting and complete liberation from social injustice will come only when Jesus Christ returns to establish His Kingdom. Biblical salvation is far deeper, because it gets to the root of our problem the problem of sin. Only Christ can change the human heart and replace greed and hate with compassion and love

Sealed unto salvation

Ephesians 1:13 But YOU also hoped in him after YOU heard the word of truth, the good news about YOUR salvation. By means of him also, after YOU believed, YOU were sealed with the promised holy spirit,

Ephesians 4: 20 Also, do not be grieving God’s holy spirit, with which YOU have been sealed for a day of releasing by ransom.

2 Corinthians 1:21, 22 But he who guarantees that YOU and we belong to Christ and he who has anointed us is God. 22 He has also put his seal upon us and has given us the token of what is to come, that is, the spirit, in our hearts.

The Bible Describes The Various Ways In Which The Believer's Security Is Confirmed:

We may know we have eternal life

1 John 5: 11-13 And this is the witness given, that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that has the Son has this life; he that does not have the Son of God does not have this life. 13 I write YOU these things that YOU may know that YOU have life everlasting, YOU who put YOUR faith in the name of the Son of God.

Sealed with the Holy Spirit

Jesus will never leave us

Hebrews 13:5 Let [YOUR] manner of life be free of the love of money, while YOU are content with the present things. For he has said: “I will by no means leave you nor by any means forsake you.”

We have passed from life to death

John 5:24 Most truly I say to YOU, He that hears my word and believes him that sent me has everlasting life, and he does not come into judgment but has passed over from death to life.

The believer is free

John 8: 32-36 and YOU will know the truth, and the truth will set YOU free.” 33 They replied to him: “We are Abraham’s offspring and never have we been slaves to anybody. How is it you say, ‘YOU will become free’?” 34 Jesus answered them: “Most truly I say to YOU, Every doer of sin is a slave of sin. 35 Moreover, the slave does not remain in the household forever; the son remains forever.

We have been set free from the law of sin and death

Romans 8:2 For the law of that spirit which gives life in union with Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

We shall never face judgment again

John 5: 24 Most truly I say to YOU, He that hears my word and believes him that sent me has everlasting life, and he does not come into judgment but has passed over from death to life.

There is no condemnation

Romans 8:1 Therefore those in union with Christ Jesus have no condemnation.

The old man of the flesh is put to death

Romans 6:3-6 Or do YOU not know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we were buried with him through our baptism into his death, in order that, just as Christ was raised up from the dead through the glory of the Father, we also should likewise walk in a newness of life. 5 For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall certainly also be [united with him in the likeness] of his resurrection; 6 because we know that our old personality was impaled with [him], that our sinful body might be made inactive, that we should no longer go on being slaves to sin.

There is new life in Christ

2 Corinthians 5:17 Consequently if anyone is in union with Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away, look! new things have come into existence.

Galatians 2:20 Paul, an apostle, neither from men nor through a man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him up from the dead,

We have become identified in Christ

Colossians 3:3 For YOU died, and YOUR life has been hidden with the Christ in union with God.

1 Corinthians 15:21,22 For since death is through a man, resurrection of the dead is also through a man. 22 For just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive.

Nothing can separate us from Christ

Romans 8: 35-39 Who will separate us from the love of the Christ? Will tribulation or distress or persecution or hunger or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 Just as it is written: “For your sake we are being put to death all day long, we have been accounted as sheep for slaughtering.” 37 To the contrary, in all these things we are coming off completely victorious through him that loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers 39 nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

He is able to save believers forever

Hewbrews 7: 25 Consequently he is able also to save completely those who are approaching God through him, because he is always alive to plead for them.
