HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN

Today in the teaching of the Jehovah's Witnesses in The Watchtower Society being "Born again" means "going to heaven." This privilege is limited to Jesus and the 144,000 spiritual brothers and sisters chosen since Jesus' time. The remainder of the Jehovah's Witnesses do not become "born again," but are assigned the designation "the other sheep" and will remain on the Earth forever. I’m going to show through the NWT (New World Translation) Bible how we are all entitled to be Born Again by coming to Jesus, asking and repenting of our sins to be forgiven. By doing this you will come a new creature, a new person, you will have a new living life in you called the Holy Spirit, He will guide you forever more. The amazing thing of being Born again is that you will have a unique, one to one relationship with Jesus that will last forever.

The New Birth Means Regeneration, With All Believers Being Equally Renewed:

All believers are united under one fold, not a heavenly class and earthly class

John 10: 15,16 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I surrender my soul in behalf of the sheep. 16 “And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those also I must bring, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherd.

The New Birth is Necessary Because of:

Man's inability to renew himself in his present state

John 3:3, 5 In answer Jesus said to him: “Most truly I say to you, Unless anyone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 5 Jesus answered: “Most truly I say to you, Unless anyone is born from water and spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Man's human flesh alone cannot accommodate eternal life

John 3:6 What has been born from the flesh is flesh, and what has been born from the spirit is spirit.

Man is under a curse and will die

Eph 2: 1 Furthermore, [it is] YOU [God made alive] though YOU were dead in YOUR trespasses and sins,

The New Birth is Introduced to Man By:

The Holy Spirit

John 3:5,8 Jesus answered: “Most truly I say to you, Unless anyone is born from water and spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 8 The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone that has been born from the spirit.”

Titus 3: 5 owing to no works in righteousness that we had performed, but according to his mercy he saved us through the bath that brought us to life and through the making of us new by holy spirit.

The Word of God

James 1:18 Because he willed it, he brought us forth by the word of truth, for us to be certain firstfruits of his creatures.

1 Peter 1:23 For YOU have been given a new birth, not by corruptible, but by incorruptible [reproductive] seed, through the word of [the] living and enduring God.

Man's obedience Man's obedience

Romans 6:17,18 But thanks to God that YOU were the slaves of sin but YOU became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which YOU were handed over. 18 Yes, since YOU were set free from sin, YOU became slaves to righteousness.

The Steps To Receiving The New Birth:

We acknowledge that NO ONE is good enough to receive it

Romans 3:10 just as it is written: “There is not a righteous [man], not even one;

We admit that sin brings death to any man

Romans 6:23 For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.

We confess that we, too, have sinned

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

We declare that Christ died for our sins

Romans 5:8 But God recommends his own love to us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

We recognize Jesus as Lord and put our trust in Him

Romans 10:9, 10 For if you publicly declare that ‘word in your own mouth,’ that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation.

We accept the gift of eternal life

1John 5: 11-13 And this is the witness given, that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that has the Son has this life; he that does not have the Son of God does not have this life. 13 I write YOU these things that YOU may know that YOU have life everlasting, YOU who put YOUR faith in the name of the Son of God.

John 5: 24 Most truly I say to YOU, He that hears my word and believes him that sent me has everlasting life, and he does not come into judgment but has passed over from death to life.

We seek to discover and live out God's plan for our life

John 10:10 The thief does not come unless it is to steal and slay and destroy. I have come that they might have life and might have it in abundance.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Consequently if anyone is in union with Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away, look! new things have come into existence.

1 Thessalonians 5: 18 In connection with everything give thanks. For this is the will of God in union with Christ Jesus respecting YOU.
