Why, if Mormonism is truly Christian“Why?
"I would like to know the answers to several questions, all of them beginning with the word ‘why’:
"Why, if Mormonism is truly Christian, does it do all it can to undermine the reliability of the Bible?
"Why, if Mormons are Christians, does the church have as part of its scripture an entirely unprovoked attack on Christian churches, doctrine, and people?
"Why, if the LDS church is a Christian church, does it officially claim to be the only true church in existence?
"Why has the Mormon church officially declared that since the days of the apostles Christian churches have been governed by the devil?
"Why, if Mormonism is in agreement with the Bible, does it appeal to modern revelation for its authority?
"Why, if Mormonism has nothing to hide or of which to be ashamed, doesn’t the LDS church publicly declare its most cherished doctrines?
"Why, if the Book of Mormon and the LDS church are both true, doesn’t the church appeal to the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible for proof-texts?
"Many more such questions could be asked. However, these are sufficient. They are all legitimate, and none of them can be answered rationally without including in the answer the conclusion that Mormonism is not true.-RM”
