Jesus is the Firstfruits of the harvest

Leviticus 23:3 ¶ Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day [is] the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work [therein]: it [is] the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

If you were to keep the Sabbath, you have to work six days and not five like the western custom.

Leviticus 23:10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:

Leviticus 23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

What happened is that the priest took the sheaf of the firstfruits and waved it before the Lord. Firstfruits was always promising to the farmer because that meant a harvest was coming and that meant you were going to get a crop.

1 Cor. 15:20 ¶ But now is Christ risen from the dead, [and] become the firstfruits of them that slept.

1Cor. 15:21 For since by man [came] death, by man [came] also the resurrection of the dead.

1Cor. 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1 Cor. 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Jesus is the firstfruits and that is why we worship on Sunday instead of Saturday. Because he rose from the dead on Sunday means that He is the firstfruits of the harvest.

Leviticus 19:9 ¶ And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.

Leviticus 19:10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather [every] grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I [am] the LORD your God.

Is the church the corners of the field?

Matthew 11:4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:

Matthew 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Are the corners His harvest?

Isaiah 52:10 The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly [is] great, but the labourers [are] few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Acts 13:47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, [saying], I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

Revelation 14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

If we're stuck on Saturday being the Sabbath then you will not reap the corners of the field.
